Boa Lacing System

Micro-Adjustability

The Boa Lacing System delivers the most precise fit of any lacing system on the market. Whereas traditional laces and bungee-driven systems stretch and give, Boa was designed for precision, reliability, and consistency.

Inside the Boa dial, teeth turn, pulling the Boa lace, and locking firmly into place. In the Boa Low Power system, common to cycling, running, light hiking, and golf shoes, one click of the Boa dial equates to roughly two millimeters of lace pull. In other Boa Lacing configurations and power levels, one click of the dial may equate to an even finer resolution for tightening.

Athletes especially appreciate the micro-adjustability of the Boa Lacing System, as it is not unusual for a foot size to fluctuate during a race, event, or training session. The micro-adjustability of the Boa Lacing System allows the athlete to react to and even anticipate the need to alter the fit of a shoe.

In competition, when the difference between winning and languishing in the pack may hinge on a slight slip of the foot or a blister born from an inexact fit, micro-adjustability makes all the difference.
